One of our clients asked us to get a quote on replacing her roof shingles.  We had been working together since 2011 on various projects, like a kitchen / basement / bath / etc.  She knew that James had many connections in the construction industry, she valued our level of quality, & she particularly loved the way James ran his jobsite, so she was hoping that Darkhorse would price competitively enough to justify using us.  Turns out, we were 10% to 20% lower than other quotes she had received.  Darkhorse was by far the better price with better quality and an excellent experience. 
So that's how we got into the roofing business on a regular basis....

It shouldn't have been a surprise to us, we shop for our clients like we shop for ourselves: always searching for the best price on materials without sacrificing quality.  Even though James has been working with our roofing installer for the past 15 years, and even though Charlie has a great crew together to keep things efficient, we just had not turned out attention to roof replacements until it was requested.  Now it's a thing & we really love these types of projects.
